Stevie Wonder 'All Day Sucker' | Vinyl Sleeve Design
This project that began in late April was based around the idea of designing a vinyl sleeve for the 1976 song All Day Sucker by American soul and R&B singer Stevie Wonder, by the use of both typography and illustration in order to create a visual narrative that is based on the overall message expressed within the song itself.

As you will see, the narrative itself consists of an analogue clock with heart icons included on the hands that are used to visually refer to a person who is portrayed as a fool towards the seduction of love, regardless of what time of the day it is.

Various effects and textures have also been included in order to help make the visual style of the sleeve pay homage to the song’s respective album, released during the days of funk and soul in the late 1970s, as well as appear up-to-date by the simple modern-day flat look that is currently very popular during the late 2010s.

For the display mockup, I decided to go with placing the final outcome in the centre of a wide open space, with a selection of coloured backgrounds that sample different colours from the actual design itself.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!

This is a non-commercial project.
